Apparently Michigan's dingbat Gov. Jennifer Granholm isn't satisfied with just being clueless when it comes to her state's troubled economy, now she's adding her expertise on what happened to Imus.
Gov. Granholm brought up Imus' name during a speech before the National Organization for Women, telling members the effort to get Imus fired was, "a very targeted effort to send a message and it was a powerful message."
"There are a huge number of shows that suggest that women are weak and thoughtless," she said. "It's important for us to take a strong stand against that."
Perhaps it is Granholm who should be sent a powerful message. Could it be she's unfamiliar with Imus' long list of powerful female guests, such as Maureen Dowd, Mary Matalin, and of course his own wife, Deirdre Imus?
The Detroit Free Press published Granholm's comments online, with a section for the public to post comments.
